Few places in Sweden have developed at such a rapid pace as Linköping municipality. In 1970 there were around 105 600 inhabitants in Linköping, and now we’ve passed the 165 000 mark.
Linköping is in the midst of a major urban transformation. The inner city is growing, several new city districts are going to be built, as is a new indoor public swimming pool. A high-speed railway line is to be routed through the city and a new central station is going to be built.
