Illuminated, exposed, but blind. An igloo for your reflections.
The idea is that whoever enters the core of the sculpture is enlightened and seen, at the same time the opportunity to look out is limited. We can see who is in the spotlight, everyone wants to be seen? Everyone is unique as a snowflake?
The shape in combination with the cold light is meant to bring to mind ice crystals, snowflakes and igloos.
I normally get the inspiration for my work, from materials, colours and shapes. The materials can be, for example, wood, metal, concrete, textiles. Geometric shapes and patterns are also something I am fascinated by. In this case, I have used light together with form as a basis for creating a contrasting sculpture.
