About Änggårdsskolan
The school is located at Lambohov, in proximity to green areas.. We are proud to be a school that reflects Sweden today, with a diversity of different cultures and languages. About 30% of the pupils have a mother tongue other than Swedish. We currently have small classes in most grade levels.
Achievement of objectives
We work to achieve good results for all pupils by focusing on results that are continuously monitored. Our teachers, together with special needs teachers and special education teachers, assess individual pupils when necessary to find the right adaptations.
Safety and security
To create a safe school, we have chosen to have recurring joint activities across the grade levels. Based on our motto of learning, responsibility and respect, we have joint theme weeks during the year.
At the school we work with PBS, Positive Behavior Support. Here we can define our expectations of the students so that they can develop their school abilities and skills.
Our staff
Our staff is committed and works to meet each child according to their abilities and needs, providing students with good knowledge for lifelong learning. We work in teams to provide a good sense of security for pupils.
Our after-school care
The school has two after-school care facilities for our pupils: Ängen ( preschool class - 1 grade) and Hagen (2-6th grade). We endeavor to have familiar staff in each department. Morning and evening care takes place in Hagen.
Learning environments
The preschool class and primary school (grade 1-3) are located in the main school building. Middle school (grade 4-6) is taught in a separate building. Our school yard is located between these buildings, which creates a closeness and security for the students. All students have access to our library.
Good and nutritious food is served in the school cafeteria. Staff and students eat together every day.
The teachers make use of our diverse local environments, which includes beautiful green areas and tranquil locations for our students.
We welcome the opportunity to let your child start with us!
